Teethers are teething tools used to relieve the discomfort of babies during teething. They are a type of teething stick. Because they are mostly made of silicone, they are also called silicone teethers. Silicone teethers need to contact the baby's teeth and mouth. For the sake of hygiene and baby health, they need to be disinfected regularly. So how to disinfect silicone teethers?

First of all, different teethers have different disinfection methods. The specific method depends on the instructions. For example, some teethers will deform when boiled in high-temperature water, so they cannot be boiled in boiling water. Some teethers can be disinfected in a disinfection cabinet and high-temperature boiling water. There are mainly three ways for parents to disinfect silicone teethers:

1. Use boiling water or steam to steam. Be careful not to steam for too long, about five minutes.

2. Soak the teether in warm water, then use food-grade detergent to clean it, then rinse it with clean warm water, and wipe off the water to avoid the growth of bacteria.

3. Another disinfection method is to freeze the teether in the refrigerator. This can also have a disinfection effect and is very suitable for summer. Babies will like to bite the teether more if it is frozen icy, and it can also help cool down the baby. However, be careful not to freeze it too cold, so as not to hurt the baby's gums because it is too hard.
